A ½ beef share is a great balance of value and flexibility—perfect for families who want to buy in bulk without committing to a full beef, while still enjoying high-quality beef for months to come.

A half share is ideal for families who want:

How It Works

A $250 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your ½ beef share.
The remaining balance can be paid through a payment plan that works for you or in one final payment prior to pickup.

When you purchase a half beef, you’ll:

• Select your preferred cuts
• Communicate directly with the TCC team for your desired cuts
• Receive beef customized to your household’s needs

Pricing & Processing Details

All cut and wrap charges are included in your price per pound.

Your total cost is calculated as:

Hanging weight × price per pound + Idaho sales tax

• ½ beef: $7.00/lb (hanging weight)
• Processor: Sustainable Meats, Kuna, ID
• Packaging: Clear vacuum seal for maximum freshness

Vacuum-sealed beef provides superior freezer protection and allows for a 1–2 year freezer life, making it easy to pull individual cuts as needed.

What to Expect for Yield

Based on our averages:

• Typical half beef hanging weight: 400–500 lbs.
• Take-home beef yield: ~55–57% of hanging weight

Example:

A 450 lb. hanging weight half beef yields approximately 252 lbs. of beef in your freezer.

Weights will vary, as we finish each animal to meet our high standards for quality and consistency.

Please note: Half beef shares have limited shipping availability.

• Shipping: Available within Idaho only
  A custom quote for materials and overnight shipping will be provided.
  Beef shares do not qualify for standard shipping rates.
• Free Local Pickup: Boise Cold Storage (495 S 15th St, Boise, ID 83702)
• Home Delivery: Available within the Treasure Valley for a $100 delivery fee
