Ingredients
- 4 TCC frozen burger patties
- 4 brioche buns
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 slices Swiss or Gruyère cheese
- 1 yellow onion thinly sliced
- 2 T butter
Directions
Place a sauce pan or cast iron on medium high heat
Add butter and onions
Cook for 4-5 minutes until you begin to get some caramelization
Turn heat to low and stir every few minutes for up to 1/2 hour until onions are sticky and caramelized
Salt and pepper when done
Preheat grill to medium high
Place burgers on and season with salt and pepper
When you see juices pool after a few minutes flip burger
Season other side with salt and pepper
Preheat broiler in oven for a few minutes
Place a slice of cheese on each half of the buns and broil cheese side up until cheese is melted and starting to brown
Place burger on cheese bun and finish with mayo and caramelized onions
Enjoy!
